UK


Dead On Arrival (DOA)

Hammer offers a DOA warranty period of 30 days from invoice date on most products. Within this period, any product confirmed by Hammer as being DOA and covered by our 30 day DOA period, will be issued a Returns Material Authorisation (RMA) number. Customers who receive a DOA product are eligible for an advance replacement, subject to stock availability.


Warranty Returns

If a product fault appears after the 30 day DOA warranty period, it must still be within the manufacturer's warranty period to qualify for a warranty return.


Damaged In Transit

If a shipment appears to have been damaged in transit, please do one of the following:


1. Refuse the goods as damaged

2. Sign for the goods as damaged


In both cases, you must inform Hammer of your action in writing within 2 working days.


Physical Damage To Product

If an item is found to have physical damage you must inform Hammer in writing within 2 working days of receipt.



International

Dead On Arrival (DOA)

A product replacement (based on current market value) will be issued by Hammer and the returned product will be credited at the same price. (DOA warranty period is typically under 30 days.)


Within One Year

Within one year from the Hammer invoice date, if a product is inspected and confirmed as faulty by Hammer, a replacement will be invoiced and the faulty product will be credited at the current market value.


Outside One Year

If a product fault appears outside one year of the Hammer invoice date, and still falls within the manufacturer's warranty period, it will be eligible for a warranty return.

 

Returns Procedure

 

1. Either complete a returns request online or Download (Excel document) and email as an attachment to returnsrequest@hammerplc.com. Alternatively you can fax your completed returns request form to +44 1256 868484.

 

2. Please note that the returnsrequest@hammerplc.com email address is only for returns requests forms or queries. General enquiries cannot be answered if sent to this address.

 

General RMA related enquiries should be sent to returns@hammerplc.com.

 

3. Returns will be authorised or declined. RMA numbers issued are valid for 14 days from the date of issue by Hammer (Hammer aims to process requests within 24 hours.)

 

4. Once authorised, product(s) must be returned to the following address:

Please ensure that only authorised product is returned.

All returns must be clearly marked with a valid RMA number, and a copy of the Returns Authorisation paperwork enclosed. Packaging must not be defaced as a result, especially if the return is for a retail-type product.

Original packaging materials should always be kept, and used if the product needs to be returned.

Hard disks must be returned in anti-static and ESD protective packaging. Foam rubber must be used to secure the disks.
   
  ·
Any shipment without a valid RMA number will be refused.

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the sender: Customer for returns, and Hammer for replacements. (Except if a product is returned as faulty, and is subsequently found without fault – then the shipping is the sole responsibility of the customer.)
