Distributor experiences biggest server sales month in history

Basingstoke, 25th February 2010: Dedicated storage distributor, Hammer, has seen success in the mid-market enterprise space, with particular focus on server demand, after its most successful month of server sales in its 19-year history.

Value-added distributor Hammer has seen a substantial increase in server business, despite analyst figures from last quarter reporting global server shipments down by 17.1% and server revenue down by 15.5%. The growth Hammer has experienced can be partly attributed to server focused distribution agreements with companies such as Microsoft and Intel. In fact, Hammer is currently the sole server-only Intel and Microsoft distributor worldwide.

The Hammer product portfolio ensures that ‘best of breed’ components are integrated into thousands of bespoke servers configured to individual customer requirements whilst maximising performance, reliability and interoperability.

Hammer provides a Europe-wide warranty package that allows resellers to compete head-on with Tier 1 branded servers.

The server portfolio has recently been augmented by an OEM agreement to offer Supermicro server products in project opportunities.
