Distributor hosts Europe’s only channel focused storage event
Basingstoke, 2nd July 2009: Storage Focus, Europe’s only channel focused storage event, has successfully bridged the gap between vendor and reseller with a unique combination of conferencing, exhibition and networking since its launch in 2007. Dedicated storage distributor, Hammer, has now announced the imminent launch of the third event, taking place on 10th and 11th September 2009.
The event, being held at Norton Park hotel and Thruxton race circuit, near Winchester, Hampshire, is aimed at VARs and integrators looking to increase their storage revenues. It is designed as a forum where leading storage vendors along with storage resellers and integrators will convene with a shared goal of understanding market forces, increasing business levels, and delivering end user satisfaction. Complimentary places are available for those involved in the strategic development of their company’s storage business. Registration opens on 10th July at www.storage-focus.com.
The agenda will allow delegates to benefit from a blend of conferencing, vendor exhibitions and demonstrations. The conference element will feature seminars from leading analysts and key industry players: Quocirca, IT Europa, and headline sponsors Seagate, Quantum, QLogic, and Intel. The exhibition and demo zone will be host to leading storage vendors and will afford ample opportunity for resellers to discuss with them products and technologies, roadmaps and specific end user opportunities, plus experience live product demonstrations. This will be followed by a drinks reception, gala dinner and evening entertainment – perfect for further networking. “Storage Focus is an excellent event to network and strengthen relationships with storage resellers, integrators, and other storage vendors. In a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, we enjoyed the opportunity to discuss with our partners market trends, roadmaps, new product offerings, and how to grow our businesses together,” said one of last year’s headline sponsors, Seagate.
In addition, delegates and vendors alike can enjoy the adrenaline-fuelled Thruxton Experience Day: trying their hand at an Ultimate Track Experience (including driving a Porsche Cayman and a single-seater Formula Renault), Race Kart Endurance (reaching speeds of up to 60mph on a 1100 metre-long track), and even a Land and Air Combo (featuring helicopter ride, quad biking, power-slide karts and laser shooting).
“We are thrilled at the exceptional response Storage Focus has had over the last two years,” said Hammer’s managing director, James Ward. “We are looking forward to once again adding value to integrators and resellers focused on storage by offering a unique and unbiased view of the industry.”
